Jayne was born in the West of England and studied at the Bath Academy of Art. She has combined an active career in Art Teaching with that of a professional artist and mother. Jayne has held numerous one-man exhibitions of her work throughout the British Isles, North America and the Middle East.

During her time in Saudi Arabia, Jayne ran her own very successful art school while also lecturing at the prestigious Al Nadha Ladies College teaching both Saudi nationals and expatriates. Her former students have since formed the Riyadh School of Art. As well as teaching and painting, Jayne worked with Saudi Arabian T.V. producing instructional programmes about Watercolour and with Riyadh Radio promoting the visual arts.

Since returning to Sherborne St. John, Jayne has devoted more of her time to painting the wonderful landscapes on her doorstep. In addition, she has donated her work in support of local community projects and undertaken a variety of commissions that include portraits, private houses and even family pets.
